There are others that like a more relaxing way to take care of stress, such as getting a message or just taking a hot bubble bath. 

Many put off de-stressing because they think they will not get anything done if they take time out to do something else. This is not the case though, by taking time for yourself and de-stressing your life you will be able to accomplish more in less time. De-stressing yourself will help your mind and body to function at it’s peak, thus allowing you to work at your peak performance.

The advice below should help give you some great ideas on how to start getting yourself de-stressed and handle that stress.

1. Run yourself a luke-warm bubble bath and light some scented candles around in your bathroom. Find your cd player and set it up on the bathroom counter. Turn some soft music on or if you have a cd with sounds of nature that will work very well also. Get into your bathtub, stretch out, close your eyes and just relax. Soaking in your luke-warm bubble bath for about an hour each night will work wonders to lower your stress levels.

2. Place everything on hold and plan yourself a small vacation even if it’s for just a few days. Ideally you would want to go to a place that has room service, hot tubs, indoor spa, steam rooms, and etc. The entire idea of this small vacation is to do nothing but relax. Get away from the busy world and make sure you leave work at the office. For the next several days you only want to concentrate on one thing and that is getting yourself de-stressed.

3. Get out of town for a few days and go camping or fishing. Invite a few close friends and pack everything you need and head off to the mountains. Setup your camp site with your tents and sleeping bags then just spend the next couple days taking in the fresh outdoors and the company of your friends.

By following these simple steps you will be on your way to a happier and healthier way of living your life. When you take the time out to de-stress your life you will find that you are able to get things done easier and faster then you ever thought possible.
