What are Thrombosed Hemorrhoids?

One of the things you will learn about having hemorrhoids is that there are two types of hemorrhoids, one of the types are the internal and the other is the external hemorrhoids. When you get the external type of hemorrhoids, it is quite possible that these hemorrhoids will become thrombosed. The Thrombosed Hemorrhoids are when there are blood clots in the hemorrhoids; these are easily seen and detected because they protrude from the anus area. They are also extremely painful for the sufferer, and may cause a lot of irritation when a person is walking. They feel like a raisin under the skin and are very hard, and may cause you to have pain when you are seated.
In many cases if you have the Thrombosed hemorrhoid you will find that it is dark and hard. Normal hemorrhoids are red in color; however Thrombosed hemorrhoids are purple in color. Thrombosed hemorrhoids develop because the vein is being strangled and the blood is being blocked from flowing properly. In some more extreme cases you may need to have surgery to remove the blood clot.
There may also be some other treatments that will help rid you of the thrombosed hemorrhoid or at least offer you some temporary relief from the problem. In some casesĀ  a person may choose that they do not have to treat the condition because they think it will simply go away, instead it just makes the situation worse, If you have thrombosed hemorrhoid, you may also try treatments such as increase in fiber intake or additional fluids. You may also find that you may lose the thrombosed when the clot dissolves itself.
You may also find that there are a few other great treatments that you could use which include the hot water sitz bath which is used to relieve the pain, reduce the pressure and in some cases it will expand the size of the vein which will help s to allow the clot to move along the vein. You may also use one of the creams that you will find in your local grocery or pharmacy, which offers relief while you find a cure that works.
The last of the options is the dreaded thrombosed hemorrhoid surgery, in which the doctor makes a small incision in the hemorrhoids and squeezes the clot through the hole. This removes this clot however does not stop you from having further problems with future blood clots. You may instead of surgery look for a natural cure that will take away the total problem of hemorrhoids and keep you from getting any further occurrences of thrombosed hemorrhoids.
